Spirit of Math Contest Prep
Held globally, the Spirit of Math® International Contest gives students from grades 1 to 6 the opportunity to prepare, apply, and showcase their knowledge on the global stage, and provides an opportunity for students to have fun and develop their mathematical problem-solving abilities.
The Contest Prep is designed for internal and external students who want to build their problem-solving skills and prepare for the annual International SoM Contest.
Each course consists of 6 weeks with 6 virtual classes. Students meet every week for a 1.5-hour class to work through some previous SoM Contests.
Each class includes cooperative work, drills, problem of the day, homework take-up, past contests and teaching of contest-related math concepts and strategies. During the last class, students will write a practice contest.
